Logo Ideation & Sketches

I chose to use the rounded leaf eucalyptus because it represents youth. Fully grown eucalyptus plants have elongated leaves but when new trees grow, or when new shoots from the base of an old tree, they grow as round leaves. The youthfulness of the rounded eucalyptus leaves is what I want my brand to convey.

02. It’s All A Blur: Big As The What?
- Event Poster & Merch

The “It’s All A Blur Tour: Big As The What?” poster was inspired by a couple of my favorite artists, Drake and J.Cole, these rappers/singers have inspiring music & are able to connect with their audiences by relating to them. I wanted the merchandise to match the feel that the tour had so I made the shirts darker colors & the accessories lighter to give a bold contrast.

03. KnowBody
-Health/ Wellness App

The app Knowbody was created to be a solution for teens struggling to talk to their parents about their health or the elderly that have a hard time getting out of the house but need medical advice. Ultimately anyone is able to use the app but the elderly/teenage male & female demographic is my target market audience. Knowbody allows you to get accurate information about your health by narrowing down the search history based on your symptoms, gender, past medical history, etc. If you have trouble keeping up with your health, being worried about your health, or simply just don’t have time to go to the doctor, this app was made just for you.

04. MN State Flag
- Redesign & Alternative Designs

In 2023 the Minnesota Legislature created a commission to redesign the flag & seal of Minnesota. Multiple designers & non-designers took the chance to express how view the state of Minnesota in flag form. I myself had made 7 flags that I think represent the state of Minnesota as a whole. Flag number 1 was my best redesign of the flag, the color blue represents the lakes in Minnesota while the green represents the trees & the star represents the North Star because we are the “North Star State”. The star aligns with the Nordic cross because most Minnesotans come from Norwegian decent & we are one with the flag.

The other flags that were designed (2,4,6,7) have the same meanings behind them as the first but in a different concept. Unlike the first flag, the rest have more waves representing the lakes instead. Flag number 3 has vertical stripes splitting the flag into four colors all cohesive with the outdoors. Last but not least flag number 7 is a loon flag, the loon flag has 32 “spots” on it because we are the 32nd state established in the United States. It also has 19 stripes on it symbolizing the fact that Minnesota was the 19th state to enter the Union after the original 13.

05. Publication Design
-The count of monte cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo is a fascinating book following the life of Edmond Dantes, a nineteen year-old sailor from Marseilles. The reason I chose to redesign this specific book cover is because it is one of my favorite movies. Edmond had learned some very important lessons in life after he was wrongly accused of treason and sent to prison. The biggest lesson learned was to never give up & that is a lesson I have learned from in the past as well, so this story has a great connection with me.

06. Selling A Product
- Adidas Harden vol.5

The Adidas Harden Vol. 5 shoes are some of the most unique Adidas basketball shoes because of the style, sole, and color way. In the video on the right I have chosen to create a black & white filter on the shoe to show just how colorful this shoe can be, on & off the court. These Adidas shoes are unlike any other line of show that has come out. Their unique styles have captivated all types of basketball audiences including men and women. The Harden’s have a signature on the tongue of the shoe creating a look that is hard to beat as well as text on the inside of the shoe that makes it feel more authentic.

07. Free Project
- Bureau of land management (Arizona)

Arizona’s Bureau of Land Management manages and conserves 12.1 million acres of public land & 17.5 million subsurface acres. This is a significant amount which is why it is important to know about how long you can stay on these lands & what amenities you have provided for you. This educational video helps viewers understand the ways of Arizona’s management of land. The pictures capture just how beautiful the state is.

08. Katie Johnson Benefit
- Flyer & Merch

In late 2023, a beloved student from Rock Ridge high school named Katie Johnson was in a car crash that left her with serious injuries to her neck, back, & spine with slim to no chance of regaining her ability to walk again. She was then later transferred to a specialized hospital in Colorado to help her gain the strength needed to recover fully. As the communities of Gilbert, Virginia, Eveleth, etc. prayed and donated to Katie’s family it showed just how strong & tightly knit communities can be when they come together to accomplish a goal. With time, Katie has regained her strength & is able to walk again, she is such a strong woman! #KatieStrong

09. Holiday Digital Card
- Card & Mockup

The Graphic Design students at Minnesota North College were tasked with creating a digital holiday card to send out to the faculty & students of the Mesabi Range campuses (Eveleth & Virginia). My design was built in Illustrator & shows the outside door of a house in Minnesota with snow falling. I used the words “Seasons Greetings” to include all people of the campus.

10. Seed Package
- Mockup & Sketches

The Southern Magnolia is the flower I chose for my seed package because it has some significance in my life. I have been watching Chip & Joanna Gaines on the show “Fixer Upper” since it first came out in 2013, the show really sparked a flame and passion in me for not just interior design but design as a whole. This piece is one of my favorites because of the shading and textures it gives.
